Very frequently, I have the privilege of reviewing new books on health and healing, authored by health professionals around the world. This gives me an opportunity to truly understand the wealth of information and breadth of perspectives that various people bring into their practice as healers or doctors. Very rarely, however, have I ever been so deeply touched by a manuscript or book that uses the power of metaphor to teach, as does Dr. Hakeem Lewis’ wonderful manuscript. It has often said that the two best features are experience and example. Dr Lewis’ book on health and health philosophy teaches by both methods. This book is a philosophical journey down a very amazing path toward self enlightenment, inspection, and non-judgmental self- evaluation of health habits, precepts, and philosophy.
